Things About Queen Elizabeth We Never Knew - Revealed By Prince William

We all know that William is a Prince -- he seems so kind and gentle and loving to his wife Kate Middleton, and he's quite the doting dad. Plus, he has that official Prince, Duke of Cambridge title. But how does he feel about the Queen, the lady who is his Grandmother and thought to have a strange relationship with his wife and great-grandkids? As it turns out, Prince William adores Queen Elizabeth; he admires her love of family and sense of humor and he wrote a book about it!

Okay, it's not a whole book but it is the preface of a new book out next week called Elizabeth II: The Steadfast by Lord Hurd. This book comes just before a major milestone in the Queen's rule. On September 9, Queen E will break the record on having the longest reign in British Monarchy. And next year, the Queen mum will be 90.

In the preface, Prince William wrote:

From a personal point of view, I am privileged to witness the private side of the Queen, as a grandmother and a great-grandmother. The Queen's kindness and sense of humor, her innate sense of calm and perspective, and her love of family and home are all attributes I experience first-hand.
All of us who will inherit the legacy of my grandmother's reign and generation need to do all we can to celebrate and learn from her story. Speaking for myself, I am privileged to have the Queen as a model for a life of service to the public.
I think I speak for my generation when I saw that the example and continuity provided by the Queen is not only very rare among leaders but a great source of pride and reassurance.
Time and again, quietly and modestly, the Queen has shown us all that we can confidently embrace the future without compromising the things that are important.

Now I know she tends to be stoic, but I can guess that Queen E used her handkerchief when reading those words from her grandson. How lovely! How beautiful! Such admiration! All the rumors can't be true. She's the best mom, grandma, and great-grandma ever!

Granted, if Wills wasn't a Royal, the letter would be something like My grandmother is cooler than yours -- she's like a Zen master on yoga and even laughs at Amy Schumer jokes.

We have no way of knowing if Queen E even knows who Amy Schumer is, but if her sense of humor really is good, she'd most definitely laugh at some of her jokes. I mean, this is a woman who was trained to hold her pee as a child. Potty humor is where it's at, always.

Well done, Wills. Grandmas rule. And Queen grandmas rule for a long, long time obviously.
Britney Spears Sends 'Fearless' Message to Teens: 'Be Yourself'

She nailed it! Britney Spears hit the 2015 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, accepting the Candie's Style Icon award, and delivered an inspiring message to her fans that we wouldn't have thought possible several years ago.

The once-troubled pop star kept it all in the family on Sunday night, walking the red carpet with her two sons, Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8, along with her elder brother Bryan Spears and his little princess of a daughter Lexie.

As much as Brit Brit adores her sons, she's obviously been having fun spending time with her niece too, as she's Instagrammed more than a few pics of them dressing up together and enjoying more typically "girly" activities.

And who would've thought that Spears would become a role model and style icon after all the trouble she went through in her mid-20s? Can we ever forget the unfortunate head-shaving and umbrella attack of 2007? Maybe not, but we can certainly move on from it, just as Brit has gracefully done.

The 33-year-old looked the part accepting her "style icon" award in a super sexy lacy cutout dress paired with silver heels. She also rocked some purple-and-turquoise ombré in her signature blond tresses. But mostly, she just seemed to be incredibly happy with her family.

The "Pretty Girls" singer spent the majority of her acceptance speech gushing about her kids. She's become such an awesome mom after having a rocky start!

She also had an important message for her teen fans. "Fashion has always been something I've loved to experiment with. It gives us all a chance to express ourselves and our own personalities and to shine in our own way," she explained. "To all the teens out there watching, be fearless in your choices and don't be afraid to be yourself."

It's awesome advice, but even more poignant coming from someone who has overcome a lot of grief for her choices over the years. It goes to show the importance of not giving up on yourself, even when things get tough.

Speaking of tough decisions, the star also recently announced that she's "torn" about renewing her contract for her Las Vegas residency show, Britney: Piece of Me. She told E! News, "I haven't made up my mind ... I really love doing the show. It's a lot, a lot of fun but I'm kind of torn right now. I don't really know what I want to do."

Given how much fun she's been having with her family recently, we wouldn't blame her a bit if she wanted to take a break and focus on them for a while. Hopefully she takes her own advice to be fearless, and just be herself.
